Shows including Keys and Gray, Drive Time and Press Pass will all come from Poland and Ukraine.

Adrian Durham and Darren Gough, presenters of Drive Time (4pm – 7pm, weekdays) will be getting behind the wheel of a van on June 3 for the Vauxhall Road Trip all the way to Poland. The team will stop off to present shows across Europe before pushing on to Warsaw in time for the first kick off.

Unlike any other radio service we can dedicate 24 hours a day to the tournament. Our live presence in Poland and Ukraine means that we can really bring the tournament alive for all the football fans back home.”

A clearer and simpler image, the logo will usually feature a football but can be customised for different sports including rugby, cricket and golf. There are also several international versions to reflect the station’s programming abroad.

An online predictor game where participants guess the correct score of each match will run throughout the tournament. Competitors can play against their friends and if they feel brave enough they can take on Richard Keys, who topped the presenter leaderboard in the Premier League version last season. Andy Gray, Adrian Durham, Darren Gough, Andy Jacobs, Ian “The Moose” Abrahams and Mike Bovill will all also be taking part.

talkSPORT’s in-house creative team have produced bespoke trails and sweepers for the tournament that feature a male voice choir and also the voice of Big Brother, Marcus Bentley.

talkSPORT launches Facebook Social Radio app

spacer

talkSPORT has launched a new Facebook Social Radio app. The app will allow users to stream the station live and also receive breaking sports news, updates and features from talksport.co.uk.

The app, launched in time for the UEFA EURO 2012 tournament, means that Facebook’s 31 million UK users will be able to listen to talkSPORT’s live commentary of all 31 matches as well as all of talkSPORT’s other programmes.

The app was built for talkSPORT by Simply Zesty and will take advantage of Facebook’s Open Graph technology so users can share with their friends the shows they are listening to, the videos they have watched from the talkSPORT YouTube channel and the breaking news stories they have read. The app will also share photos and tweets from talkSPORT.

Kurt Edwards, Commercial Director of talkSPORT, said: “talkSPORT’s social media footprint across both Twitter and Facebook has exploded because every week we have breaking sports news that encourages so much debate and opinion. We know Facebook users spend hours on the site so it’s only right we give them the chance to hear and engage with the world’s biggest sports radio station at the same time.”

Lauren Fisher, Director of Simply Zesty, said: “Extending and upgrading talkSPORT’s presence on Facebook with an app like this is very exciting, as it will offer listeners the chance to engage with the station in ways they haven’t before. The Open Graph technology has proved very popular with music programs like Spotify, and we believe that sports fans will also love sharing what they’re doing with their friends.”

The app can be found here… www.talksport.co.uk/facebookapp
