Join us in celebrating summer with strawberry shortcake and lemonade on the lawn of the Schaghticoke Village Fire Department! Face painting, a visit from the Resselaer County Dairy Princess, a used book sale, and music from an instrumental ensemble from Hoosic Valley School District. All are welcome.

Making Faces showcases the design and handiwork of late Canadian type designer Jim Rimmer as he crafts metal printing type by hand using traditional machines and techniques dating back past the 19th century.

Bookbinding Workshop: Pamphlet Stitch

As part of Diver’s read/fold/make book arts series, learn to sew a book by hand with the simplest of bookbinding stitches: the pamphlet stitch. No experience or prior knowledge required.

Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Party
