Library Services for our Community

  • Free loan of books, magazines, audio books, videos/DVDs, & musical CDs
  • Access to materials from other libraries via interlibrary loan
  • Reference information to answer all sorts of questions
  • Wireless internet access & word processing on 7 public computers or your own laptop.   Wireless internet access is available 24 hours a day, even when the library is closed, from our parking lot.  
  • Children’s summer reading program & special programs throughout the year
  • Programs for the whole family – check for monthly calendar of offerings
  • Monthly Book discussion group for adults. Other programs for adults throughout the year
  • Museum Pass Program: check out a museum on us!   Passes are available for The Berkshire Museum, Hancock Shaker Village, Norman Rockwell Museum, MASS MoCA, and The Sterling & Francine Clark Art Institute.   Call ahead to reserve.   Passes are checked out for 2 days.
  • Large-print books/computer screen magnification & speaking capability on public access computer
  • Public photocopier (.25 per page), fax machine (1.00 per page) and tax forms
  • Handicapped accessible
  • Book Delivery for home-bound residents – this service must be arranged in advance
  • Foundation Center database available during library hours or other hours by arrangement.  Grant seekers can use this extensive database and collection of print materials.  Both are available free of charge to the community as they have been generously funded by Beacon Power.
