Fabulously Fun Maternity and Family Photo Session in Lafayette, CA!
A couple of months ago, I had the best Signature Session with a family of three (now a family of four!) There was dancing, laughing, playing, and yes, running – with a toddler in the mix, you better wear your running shoes! I had so much fun… I can’t wait to go back to see the new baby in a few months! The family dynamics will have changed drastically, and it’ll be so much fun to photograph that stage in their life. We initially talked about doing their pregnancy photos and a newborn session, but after much chit chatting, we decided to wait until the babe was a few months old. I’ve had a few clients opt for waiting, and I have to say I’m really in favor of it!
If you miss your newborn photo window (ideally 6-8 days old) you can wait until your newborn is 4 months. It might even be better since you’ll be rested, your baby will be alert and full of smiles, and your family will have had some time to adjust and bond. And if you want even more personality in your pictures, wait until your baby is sitting up (around 6-8 months).

I have a new favorite client. She’s tiny and moves really fast, but when you catch up to her, it’s worth all the running. This first picture makes me smile… big!
Maternity photography is so much fun when you include the whole family… even the animals. :)
I love the interactions of a family… the sessions are all unique and pure heaven! There is so much going on, so much love, so much life. I know I’ve said this many times before, but I love families. They’re just awesome. :)
