Located at the Oklahoma River in downtown Oklahoma City, the Boathouse District is emerging as one of the world’s premier sites for both rowing and canoe/kayak – and as a “go to” place for Oklahoma City metro area families and visitors to the metro.
The Boathouse District is adjacent to downtown’s Bricktown entertainment district and is just a short walk or drive from hotels, restaurants and entertainment. The river offers rowing, kayaking, cycling, running and fitness activities for the whole family through OKC RIVERSPORT and you’ll see races and regattas on the river throughout the year. The US Olympic Committee has recognized the Oklahoma River as a US Olympic & Paralympic Training Site, and you’ll find Olympic hopefuls in both rowing and canoe/kayak training at the OKC National High Performance Center.
Getting here is easy; we’re located at the crossroads of the nation where I35 and I40 intersect. [map] Our welcome center at the Chesapeake Finish Line Tower is open 9a-8p Monday through Friday, 8:30a-5p Saturdays and 1-5p on Sundays. Stop by to inquire about our available programs or relax in our seating area. The welcome center is equipped with wi-fi and has snacks and apparel available for purchase. Questions?
