Route 66 Boathouse

The Route 66 Boathouse is located on the east shore of Lake Overholser just south of the historic Route 66 bridge, and offers access to the North Canadian River and Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge for both rowing and kayaking. Trails along the lake’s edge provide a beautiful setting for running, cycling or leisurely walks.

A landmark structure on the lake for decades, the Route 66 Boathouse has been refurbished and is now a community gathering place, providing access to the water for both elite and recreational athletes. The boathouse offers OKC RIVERSPORT bike and kayak rentals as well as lessons, coached programs and group kayak outings including guided and moonlight paddles. A pontoon boat is available for chartered trips into the Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge, and the facility is available for private parties and group outings.

The Route 66 Boathouse has seasonal hours; rentals during winter months are weather permitting.
