Improving children's rehabilitation and physiotherapy
The AF Foundation, set up by Andrew and Rachael Flintoff, is a children's charity raising funds to build, develop and improve Child rehabilitation and physiotherapy units throughout the UK.
New Unit Opens
We work closely with specialised rehabilitation teams, consultants and patients to create bespoke Child Rehabilitiation & Physiotheraphy Units.
Our Flagship, and first unit is in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool – Europe’s busiest children’s hospital.
Chris's Story: Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Chris has spent all of his 17 years in and out of Alder Hey since the age of 3 days old. He was also diagnosed with: Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Polyarticular JIA, Osteoporosis, Sleep Apnoea, 30% deaf, Tunnel Vision… some of these are so bad it would make an adult cry most days.... but not Chris.
The Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge
A team of six took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, which takes in the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours.
'What a day! It has got to be the hardest thing we have ever done. But is was a great day out.'
