Help Viva! fight plans for the Leighton dairy expansion!
The first application for this was withdrawn recently, but the farmer has resubmitted plans for the 1000 cow mega dairy!
A dairy farmer named Fraser Jones has proposed an expansion of his dairy farm in Powys, Wales to farm 1000 cows for milk.
The new plans have been validated and are open for public consultation until 11 April. Please raise your voice against this and tell the council you object by sending our template letter. Please note: previous objections do not count - everyone needs to object again!
Viva! has also written a comprehensive letter of objection, going into details of why we believe the mega dairy will have negative impacts for the animals, local people and the environment.
To find out more about why Viva are against mega dairys please read our official objection letter.
Viva! are committed to continuing the fight against this horrendous factory farm and the cruel intensification of dairy farming that could become widespread in Britain.
