Dr John Whittaker, of the Department of Economics, is interviewed on CNBC about the European financial crisis. "If you look at the figures for how much the Spanish Central Bank owes the ECB that was up at 300 billion at the end of April and that reflects capital flight from Spain over a longish period, five or six months," says Whittaker.

spacer Marketing student wins Alison Tasker placement award

Amy Heap, who is a final-year Marketing Management student, has won the 2012 Alison Tasker Award. The award is a competition for 4th year LUMS students who have completed a year-long industrial placement. The award commemorates Alison Tasker, a LUMS student who sadly died while on her placement year.
