WELCOME to the VEGAS VALLEY DOG OBEDIENCE CLUB web site.
Vegas Valley Dog Obedience Club (VVDOC) is a non-profit organization and an
AKC-licensed obedience club in Las Vegas, Nevada. We offer dog obedience training
sessions three times a year, AKC-licensed trials two times a year, participate in various dog
related functions, and offer obedience demonstrations at local events and to local schools.
The main goal of our training is to produce dogs that are obedient and conditioned to
behave with good manners in the home, public areas, and in the presence of other dogs.
The results will make them a wonderful companion to the family. We also provide an
opportunity for people and their dogs to show, and earn titles, in AKC obedience trials.
Our General Membership Meetings are now held at:
Desert Toyota is next to Nevada Energy and is just West of Jones & Sahara. Entrance and
parking is East of the dealership, accessed from the side street Steve Rigazio Ct., which is
controlled by a traffic light. We may park in the lot in front of the Parts & Service Depts,, or
along the red fence lining the driveway into the Parts/Service departments, or on the west
side of Steve Rigazio Ct. adjacent to the dealership. Please, no parking in front of the
dealership.
The meeting room may be accessed by going up the short ramp and through the red door
on the side of the building.
Board Meetings will continue to be held at the Hines Ranch.
Each month, VVDOC will shine the spotlight on a different dog breed and the VVDOC
member dogs of that breed. When will YOUR favorite breed be featured ??
VVDOC ARTICLE CONTRIBUTED TO DESERT COMPANION MAGAZINE
The KNPR magazine, Desert Companion, recently requested VVDOC submit a short article
for the magazine related to Dog Park Rules. Our very own Carol Riback and Vicki Callahan
submitted a very nice, well written article for the magazine.
"Park Petiquette 101" is on page 56 of the online June edition, which can be viewed at
issuu.com/nvpr/docs/desert_companion_2012june.
After submission of this article, KNPR requested that VVDOC have a representative at a
KNPR function at 6pm on June 14th at The District at Green Valley Ranch to further
