"Search" performs a natural language search. The search engine will search for your search term(s) in any order and without regard to intervening words. The search engine may, however, filter out documents which it considers irrelevant. "Exact Search" performs a Boolean search and is fully Boolean competent. It will return all documents containing your search term(s) in accordance with Boolean logic. If you do not obtain expected results with "Search," or if you wish to be sure that you have identified each occurrence of a given term, please use "Exact Search."
