News of Interest...

The following awards were given for presentations during the Twenty-Third Annual Meeting of the ENRS at the Chatham Bars Inn, September 15-18, 2011 in Chatham, Massachusetts.

The Norman E. Leeds Award for the best scientific paper presented was given to Andrew D. Schweitzer, M.D. from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York.  His presentation was titled, "Dynamic Susceptibility Contrast MRI Perfusion May Not Predict Progressive Disease in Patients with Recurrent Glioblastoma Receiving Bevacizumab."

The Stephen A. Kieffer Award for the best scientific paper by a trainee was given to Mai-Lan Ho, M.D. from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.  Her presentation was titled, "Clinico-Radiologic Correlation of Invasive Fungal Disease in the Head and Neck."


The Eastern Neuroradiological Society (ENRS) was founded in 1989, and currently has 200 members.

Objectives of the Society are ...

  • To develop and support standards for the training and practice of neuroradiology and head and neck radiology.
  • To encourage research in neuroradiology and head and neck radiology.
  • To provide annual meetings for the reading and discussion of papers and the dissemination of knowledge in neuroradiology and head and neck radiology.
  • To promote a close fellowship and exchange of ideas among neuroradiologists and head and neck radiologists.
  • To promote close cooperation between neuroradiology and head and neck radiology and other branches of medicine and the allied sciences.

Geographic Boundaries are ...

the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec.
