Best Ontario Family Vacations!

Lots of our groups are two and three generations in the same family fishing together. Spring, Summer, Fall some 3 times a year some only annually. Even if you only get here once in a lifetime your family will have a ball of a time pulling in Walleye and Northern Pike.

I remember fishing, bass fishing that is not walleye fishing like we have in Northern Ontario, with my father at a small cabin northeast of Toronto. I was maybe 5 years old and it was so long ago that we had the old fashioned reels that you couldn't cast. And then there was that black cloth fishing line that always got tangled up. I didn't know anything about pickerel fishing or about dropping your hook to the bottom where they hang out. I think the most I caught was a sunfish that week but it "fishing" still remains one of my fondest memories of time spent with my Father.

40 years later I'm sitting here at my desk wishing that we had known about Northern Ontario's Ogoki Reservoir. A hot walleye fishing spot like this ... still fishing with my Dad would have yielded a lot more big fish stories. And well it's unlikely I would have been talking about hot dogs on the BBQ if you know what I mean.

Ogoki is your family run Walleye Fishing vacation destination

After years of running the Mercury Marine business and seeing what a good life our outpost fishing clients were enjoying we bought into the outpost fishing business claims Paul, owner of Ogoki Frontier. Each year I can't wait for May to come so I can get back up to our base camp at Armstrong and into our outpost sites says Paul. They are a breath of fresh air after a long winter in Thunder Bay and doing the tour of trade shows in major USA cities.

Guaranteed, a National Treasure

The Boreal Forest north of Armstrong is a breath of fresh air, it's a National treasure! In fact they made it a Provincial Park, Wabakimi Provincial Park, to protect and preserve this National Treasure in Ontario's north. You know that the area is something special when they grant an area official park status remarks Paul.

Our business is focused around helping other to experience this Northern Treasure, helping families have an amazing family fishing vacation. We have found this to be a huge success and it's evident by the people who come back year after year to fill their eyes, ears, noses and mouths with the fruits of this wonderful land we call Northern Ontario.
