Where I live within southern Co. Sligo there is a remarkable collection of 3000 to 6000 year old megalithic circles, passage cairns, ancient mounds, sacred wells, monastic sites, fairy rings, and wooden covens within hiking distance. Add to that, our wonderful variety of trees, flora, views and wildlife.

At some viewpoints, on a clear day, visitors enjoy a view of up to 18 Irish counties.

I am expanding a portal to introduce folks to our nearby sacred places of wonder that features discoveries, stories, videos, photographs and even some music.

I hope you will browse enjoy this and may even consider visiting and staying in our area for a few days as part of your visit to Ireland. It is worth considering a complete vacation here. You can be here and do plenty without the expense of a car.
