spacer The Federated Republics continue to recover from the departure of founder Gordon Freeman from A1 amid a general period of inactivity from around the nation as developments have ensued.

Sir Gordon Freeman of the now former Republic of Acacia, who had been a founding member of the Most Glorious People’s Republic of A1 in 2008, left A1 and resigned from all positions in the government two weeks ago after an incident in which his private details were leaked to a macronational reporter in Melbourne. The decision to leave A1 had been made by Freeman in order to ensure the protection of his privacy.

Following Freeman’s departure, the Federated Republics has fallen into an activity slump that eventually instigated the declaration of a State of Emergency and eventually the suspension of the Constitution and Government of A1 by First Secretary James E Wilary. Wilary addressed the situation on May 19th during his speech to the Chamber of Electorates in which he stated that “A1 is still alive. I intend to see that it stays this way”.  The eventual repacement for the government in A1 has become the instituted Stabilization Committee for A1 as ordered by First Secretary Wilary in order to “(…) securely prop up A1 (…)”.

The Republic of Kinsovea has declared its independence Tuesday following a Republic wide vote in which it was decided to leave A1 amid the lack of faith in the stability of the nation. No comment has been made on the situation by an A1 official.

The Sandus news source Veritim Sandus published multiple articles mentioning “Sandus’ display of its excitement and happiness at the event (…)” on the subject of the departure of former Minister Freeman of A1. In the article “A1′s dissapearing act”, Veritum Sandus states that Sandus “(..) has finally won through to a final and ultimate victory following the demise of the two premier TASPAC member-states (…)” referencing also to the fall of Yabloko some months earlier. First Secretary Wilary rebutted the claims that A1 has fallen or was otherwise defunct in an interview with the Kossian Gazette where he stated “I, as First Secretary, would like to simply reaffirm to everyone that the Federated Republics of A1 has yet to be disestablished (…)”.

On Friday, First Secretary Wilary made an appeal to the active Republic of Lichthalzen, whose population constitutes a majority of the total in A1, for support and manpower in the activity slump. Prime Minister and Premier of Lichthalzen Mars McTavish posted on the A1 Forum for “LHZites (and anyone else) still active in the forum and would like to kep A1 going (I’ll explain what heppened in-game tonight), do post here (..)”. Members of the Republic have come forth giving their support for the survival of A1 and offering to include themselves in the recovery effort.
