Pt. is the foremost representative of the Maihar Senia gharana. He was groomed primarily by his grandfather Ustad Allauddin Khan, the founder of this gharana. His music, as expressed through his instrument Sarod, exemplifies the beauty of authenticity.

Ustad Shujaat Khan is the direct descendent of the Itawa-Imdadkhani gharana. He is the son and disciple of legendary Ustad Vilayat Khan. Groomed by his father Shujajat Khan further developed himself to be contemporary. His music is rich with both traditional substance with modern approach.

Pt. Nagraj Havaldar will remind us of the recent bygone maestros - Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Pt. Mallikarjun Mansur, Pt. Basabraj Rajguru, Pt. Madhav Guri. Directly or indirectly groomed by these maestros and also by Pt. Mattigatti, Nagraj Havaldar has a powerful voice and style of rendition to express all of the qualities of the tradition he represents.

Bidwan Trichy Sankaran is a wonder in the field of Indian Percussion. His command on Laya and Tala, his approach toward exploration of tonal variation, dynamics are exemplary to all musicians, particularly percussionists.

Samir Chatterjee's tabla is known for 'vocal-like quality' as commented by NY Times or 'Gayaki Ang' as commented by fellow musicians. He is reputed worldwide for his performances (at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony, UN General Assemply etc.), scholarship and teaching contributions.

Snehasish Mozumder is the sole performer to a level of excellent on his instrument. He has demonstrated to inspire awe from his audience worldwide.

Kedar Naphade creates amazing beauty out of the Harmonium, sometimes doing almost impossible things on the instrument. He owes major part of his musicality to his guru Tusidas Bodkar. Rest he has been developing through continuous research and practice over the years.

Ramneek Sigh is a pride of Toronto. To open the concert with her mellifluous voice and rich substance will be the most appropriate way.

Shivalik Ghosal and Dibyarka Chatterjee on the tabla will bring assurance toward the continuity of the tradition. Parag Marathe will be a great support to Ramneek Singh. Omkarnath Havaldar would compliment the vocal recital of his father.
