Born and raised in New York City, Mia Marcus’ early interest in photography was inspired by the NYC music scene.  An avid fan of Hip-Hop music, Mia has photographed many artists including Fabolous, Jim Jones, Q-tip, and 50 cent, and has been blessed to work with the likes of celebrity photographer, Johnny Nunez. Her ambition to become one of the top female photographers in her field has driven accomplishments such as being featured in the S ource Magazine, GO! Micia Mosely is a Brooklyn-based comedian, actress, educator and a founding Nursha Project Artist. Since earning her Ph.D. in education from U.C. Berkeley, Micia has shared her comedic performance in cities all over the United States including, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Boston, Washington D.C. and Honolulu. In 2009, her one-woman show Where My Girls At? was nominated for a New York Innovative Theater Award for best solo performance. Moira Cutler :  Actress, Director, Technician

Nursha Project Artist Moira Cutler has trained with some of the leading artists and institutions of the American avant-garde community, including The Ko Theater Festival, Richard Foreman, The Bread and Puppet Theater, The San Francisco Mime Troupe, A Traveling Jewish Theater, Ping Chong and Anne Bogart, and The SITI Company.  In November 2009, she made her BAM debut as a performer in the group, ‘the ten’ in Really Real with the Wally Cardona Company.  Currently, Moira is writing a play about ghosts – with both metaphorical and preternatural working title, “Crawlspace”, which she will present in the Spring as a staged reading.

Nursha Project Artist Red Summer is a Jane-of-all-trades. With her background in Musical Theater, interdisciplinary Art, Song-Writing, Spoken word Poetry, Film Production and both secondary and Post Secondary Education, Red Summer is a force to be reckoned with. Most recently, Red has been traveling the United States on a promotional book tour for her collection of poetry entitled First Person. Thandiwe Thomas DeSchazor :  Comedian, Playwright, Host, Vocalist

Thandiwe Thomas DeSchazor is a writer, actor and vocalist originally from Detroit. He is a member of The Pan Theater Improv Troupe and teaches improv workshops to youth around Oakland. He premiered his one-man show, Children of the Last Days, in June as a part an artist-in-residence program at The Garage on Howard Street in San Francisco. In December 2008, under  the management of the Nursha Project™, Thandiwe premiered his one person show, “Children of the Last Days” at the Oakland Noodle Factory.
