About

The Avenue4Learning blog is a place for educators to share ideas, especially related to learning, engaging students, and preparing students for THEIR world!

My name is Michelle Baldwin, and I am a learner, an educator, a self-proclaimed “techie,” presenter, and an advocate for teaching and learning WITH students!

I returned to the classroom in 2009, after coordinating technology professional/staff development for eight years in a suburban school district. From fall of 2009 through spring of 2011, I taught K-5 Vocal Music in the same school district. In August 2011, I moved to Denver, Colorado and joined the staff of Anastasis Academy.  A parent of teenagers, I’m also well-versed in blogging, podcasting, digital literacy, online profiles, personal learning networks, and learning how much I have yet to learn.

This blog is meant to be a resource for YOU… for re-thinking the concept of “learning” in the 21st Century. If you have questions, please comment on any of the blog posts here, or email me: michellek107[at]gmail[dot]com.

    G’day,
I was on the Edublogger birthday post and saw your comment, so thought I would visit your blog to tell you about a student blogging challenge that will be starting in March 2009.

Students may use either a class blog or their own individual blog. There will be activities each week and they will be posted on my class blog wyatt67.edublogs.org

If any teachers or students are interested in registering, please do so here wyatt67.edublogs.org/2009/01/18/a-new-year-means-a-new-challenge/

A similar challenge was held last year and nearly 500 students from nine different countries of the world took part. These students are still blogging and running a collaborative blog at studentfriends.edublogs.org
