On Friday and Saturday nights we feature entertainment by top jazz vocalists from Washington D.C. and beyond.
This week, we are proud to present:
|
Friday and Saturday, June 15-16, 8p.m. - midnight
Special Guest Artist Joe Gransden
At 38 years old, Atlanta's Joe Gransden has performed worldwide and released 7 CDs under his own name. Renowned first for his hard bop trumpet playing, Gransden's singing voice has been compared with Chet Baker and Frank Sinatra. Some of the biggest names in the music and entertainment fields have taken note:
"Joe is a young man with an old soul and a classic voice. He is a great new talent, with a wonderful sense of humor to boot. And don't forget, he plays a hell of a trumpet!" - Clint Eastwood, Actor/Director
"His innate understanding of interpreting classics is something that you can't learn, it's natural. He is a great musician!" - Michael Feinstein, Singer/Pianist.
Joe will be joined by Chris Grasso, piano; Tommy Cecil, bass; and Lee Pearson, drums. |
