Gliffaes Country House Hotel

Stay somewhere special in the Brecon Beacons

The only Four Star Hotel in the Brecon Beacons National Park The chances are you have landed on this site as you are looking for a small luxury Country House hotel in a stunning location, which offers good food and service with neither exorbitant prices nor a lot of pretension; you may well have found what you are looking for. Just 3 miles from Crickhowell and about 10 miles from Brecon, you will be right in the heart of the Brecon Beacons and the glorious Black Mountains.

Welcome to Gliffaes

Gliffaes makes the ideal base for you to explore this magic part of the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales.  Early Spring is still a good time to get out and explore the wonderful Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons whether on foot, by bike or even in your car.

Alternatively, you may wish for nothing more than a lazy lunch in the  conservatory with a bottle of wine, followed by a kip  and afternoon tea by the fire in the sitting room. Then round off the day with a drink in the bar, great dinner and early bed; heaven.

Watch the short film to get a flavour of Gliffaes (90 seconds)

We understand all this, which is why we make it our mission to ensure that you leave here feeling a whole lot better than when you checked in. Come and enjoy our hospitality and you will find out why scores of our guests come back for more every year and why Visit Wales have awarded Gliffaes a gold award for 2012.

Experiencing the best of South Wales with Gliffaes

Gliffaes is far more than just a place to stay and this website is far more than just an ‘electronic brochure’.  We write articles for this site almost every week. You want local knowledge to get the most out of your trip and we also want to get over a ‘sense of place’. What’s life like at Gliffaes? Why are we different to other hotels? How can I get the most from my trip to the Brecon Beacons and Wales? The two most recent articles we have written are previewed below.

Alternatively use the search box above right and type in a word or phrase to search our library of articles. Gliffaes is open to non-residents for all meals.
