Fashions fade, style is eternal – Yves Saint Laurent

Whether you wear Haute Couture, Ready-to-Wear or a bin bag, the effects can be breathtaking when you put the effort in to creating a beautiful portfolio of fashion and celebrity style images together. It’s a wonderful way to express style and emotion… not to mention drama for those with a little less shame and a lot more get up and give it a go!

Fashion photography isn’t about making the subject look like shop window mannequins. It’s about movement and vitality, about capturing a mood, a look, a shape or a line. I believe that the most important thing when shooting fashion images is to ensure that you create a positive energy between the photographer and the subject. This in turn feeds the content of the work. Fashion images must have content and energy. Without theses qualities, you haven’t got fashion images….

Fashion is about style, beauty, creativity, energy and excitement and this has to be reflected in the images. If the images make people stop what they’re doing and take a good look at them, I will hopefully have made my client very happy and I will have achieved something very special as a photographer…
