When our daughter was born, I was still working and was beside myself on what to do about childcare. Since we were fairly new to the area, and hadn’t been able to get on a waiting list, I felt very uneasy about simply calling around to places to see if they had an opening. Since I didn’t know any moms in the area to ask, I turned to the Internet to see if I could read reviews about different providers and research them online. Much to my dismay, in our area not many childcare providers were online, so I felt like I was back to square one.
Eventually, things worked out for our family that I was able to find someone for a brief amount of time and then was able to quit working and stay at home, however many parents don’t have that option.
