…..of Hitam, My Hero.
Hitam, the courageous black dog which swum to & fro the kelong and the mangrove swamp island to regurgitate food for his friends, has died. This page is to remember him, his deeds and how instrumental he was to the rescue effort when the Pulau Ketam dogs were dumped on Pulau Selat Kering. The cause of his death is still unknown.
May he rest in peace. He will always be remembered as the dog that slept outside my tent to guard me from the loving attention of Kuning, the other heroic dog.
