With his unerring eye for talent and a finger on the pulse of what America wanted, he brought together the most beloved performers of their time and provided a national audience for them to perform their most well known hits.

This holiday special originally aired on CBS in 1992. Hosted by Bob Newhart, classic holiday performances are presented including Elvis Presley singing “Peace in the Valley”, Gene Autry doing “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” the perennial “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby, The Supremes performing “My Favorite Things,” plus holiday appearances by Topo Gigio, Shari Lewis, and The Baird Puppets.
