Hello, I'm Aaron James Rodgers, a web developer based in East London.

.about{

generic stuff about me

My name is Aaron, I'm a Web Designer/Developer based in London. Currently, I work full time for vzaar (vzaar.com), continuously developing the site and introducing the latest industry techniques where possible.

When I haven't got my head stuck into a CSS stylesheet, I'm either browsing music blogs for new bands to listen to, taking photographs whilst roaming around European Cities or spending some hard earned cash travelling to watch Norwich City at various away grounds up and down the country (and yes, I have met Delia Smith). On the very rare day(s), when I haven't got anything to do, Football Manager will take centre stage.

On this site you will find various examples of projects that I have worked on, please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. Thanks :)

vzaar.com

Since joining the vzaar team in April 2010, I've been working on some exciting projects helping develop the online identity of the business. Introducing CSS3 techniques throughout the site, designing the UI for the iPhone App and producing a mini series of video screencasts have been some of my favourite projects that I've worked on. As we continue to develop the site, it's important to monitor the behaviour of our users in order to create an app that's easy for everyone to use and enjoy.

Cornershop - Official Website

Based in London, Cornershop are undoubtedly one of the most consistent (and in my opinion VERY underrated) bands around, and to be involved in the re-launch of their online shop and site design was a pleasure. Being a record collector myself, it's important to get the process right when buying music directly from the band. It needs to be easy. After a few attempts, I think we've finally got there. Why not try it out? I really recommend the album 'Judy Sucks A Lemon For Breakfast'!

The Loom

Official website for Brooklyn based band The Loom. Having released their wonderful debut album in 2011 they have been touring and promoting its release across the US and Canada. This website is a custom built WordPress template based on designs supplied by the client. If you decide to listen to their music, start with the track 'For All My Friends In Spring, For All My Friends In Fall' off their album 'Teeth'.

Slow Life

Colchester based musician Daniel Bowen, aka Slow Life, is a multi-instrumentalist who's live shows consist of loops of layered folksy guitar and melodic vocals. This is a simple custom built WordPress template designed by myself. The client also wanted a blog feature as well as the ability to post his music on the site using SoundCloud. Main site photograph was also taken by myself.

Record of the Year 2011 - Personal Project

At the end of each year, music publications, bloggers and John Peel wannabes publish their favourite music from the past 12 months. In the past I've always written a blog post with my highlights, this year I wanted to do something different. I've been waiting to give Parallax Scrolling a try, so I took the time to create a small site and incorporate my favourite records at the same time.

You can get in touch with me in various different ways, this isn't 1993 anymore. Feel free to add me on any social networks you want, the pretty little icons to your right will take you where you need to go. I mainly tweet about football, design, code, music and things that annoy me - so if that's for you, then I look forward to sharing 140 characters with you.

If you would like me to hire me, I am available on a freelance basis so please if you would like to talk. I do use Skype on a daily basis and I also have one of those mobile phone things, but you'll have to ask nicely for those.
