Elimination Communication: Ditch the Diapers

Hi, I’m Andrea. I’m a Mom and a DiaperFreeBaby Mentor. Thanks for visiting!

The first thing you should know:

Half the babies around the world are potty trained by 12 months (Pediatrics Magazine), yet in the United States, the average age is currently 3 years old (webMD).

The second thing you should know:

Finishing with diapers does not have to take 3 years. Elimination Communication, aka Infant Potty Training, is the natural alternative to diaper dependence and the dreaded toddler toilet training.

And…the third thing you should know:

Elimination Communication should not be difficult to begin. Learning should be clear, fun, and smooth, with an ease about the practice within a few weeks. You can expect a certain amount of day or night dryness by 6-20 months (depending on when and how you begin).

So, I’ve simplified Elimination Communication For You. Why?

Well, when I was pregnant I had a rough start at EC. I read the books, thoroughly, but was left a bit confused. Exactly how do I do what and when?? Huh?

Then, everyone in Mommie Yoga kept asking me how to potty their babies, too. So, during the time when my son was 5 months old til he turned 11 months, I wrote a book. And a bunch of other stuff that I thought might help you.

I wanted to make it easy and straight-forward (with pretty drawings, even) for you to start EC (because it wasn’t easy for me).

Sometimes we all need a little guidance, especially when it comes to learning something as unusual as EC. It’s not a good idea to “wing it” off of random internet info. (Trust me.) So, I’m here for you!

This is what I will succinctly teach you:

  • how to know exactly when your baby needs to potty…and what to do when that happens.
  • how to gracefully deal with resistance & accidents (misses).
  • how to do EC around work schedules, in public, at night, with or without diapers, & while feeding.
  • how to do, and understand, pretty much everything you’ll ever need to know to do Elimination Communication with your 0-20 month old baby, starting today, with ease. From beginning to end. Visual, practical, simple. (The way I wish I’d had it.)

Here’s all the stuff I made for you so that you can learn this easily:

  • the Book: 160 page digital book with photos, flowcharts, & drawings, and easy links throughout. Read what other parents are saying about it…
  • the Forum: access to my EC Simplified Community Support Forum (It’s great! I answer all questions personally.)
  • the Videos: private 25+ video library – over 45 minutes of exclusive how-to footage
  • the Tools: a collection of tools to help you do it right the first time
  • the Audiobook: 5 hours of professionally recorded tracks – learn on-the-go, baby in-tow

What ages does my book cover?

0-20 months! The ideal starting window is 0-4 months, but you can start Elimination Communication (aka Infant Potty Training, Natural Infant Hygiene, or Early Potty Training) all the way up to 20 months. Each age requires a slightly different approach, all covered in my book and Forum.

(If your baby is over 20 months, please do not waste your time with EC. Visit my friend Jamie for a non-coercive potty training program that complements EC…and works very well, very quickly.)

When to start if you’re ready to begin EC?

The short answer? Now. Starting is not as difficult as you might imagine. Waiting for a break in new parent craziness is like waiting for a bus in Antarctica. It may never come.

So many of my parents tell me “I just wish I would have started EC earlier.”

Your baby was born ready.

All you have to do is learn how to get started.

That’s what I’m here for…I’m happy to help you.
