The University and College Union (UCU) are striking tomorrow on Thursday 10th May. Our lecturers and University support staff are joining millions of other public sector workers across the country in defence of public services and pensions justice.

This Sunday is the Sport Relief Mile and Winchester Student Union are supporting it. The mile starts at Bar End Sports Stadium and we are looking for volunteers to help marshall the event. If you are interested in volunteering and helping with the event contact:

A female student was attacked and possibly sexually assaulted in Stanmore Lane on Wednesday 29 February between 10.30 and 11.30pm, near the New Queen’s Head pub and the Winchester Family Church.
The University and the Student Union are liaising with the Police who are also appealing for possible witnesses. The student was wearing a brown leather jacket and green skirt. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Laurie Firman at North Walls Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
Fortunately, such incidents are rare in Winchester but please take care when out at night…
