Aquafins has been operating as a company for seven years, providing swimming lessons across Sussex in Crawley, Horsham, Copthorne and Horley. Our fully qualified instructors can call on 15 to 20 years experience in teaching both children and adults to swim.
The Aquafins Philosophy
Aquafins swim school prefers to concentrate on teaching children and adults how to swim in the correct way rather than to swim a little further with an incorrect stroke. We adopt a multi-stroke approach, teaching front crawl, breast stroke, back stroke and butterfly as well as lots of different water skills.
When our swimmers have reached a relevant standard they have the option to continue with Aquafins as a Rookie Lifeguard or get involved with our squad training, enabling them to take part in competitions.
We do understand that children need motivation so we follow the Amateur Swimming Association National Plan for Teaching Swimming and periodically test the children for their badges (including distance tests).
Small Class Sizes
Class sizes at Aquafins are kept to a maximum of eight with the emphasis on teaching in a fun atmosphere. Especially with the beginners the instructors are in the water with the children giving them the confidence to flourish and keep improving.
