The Aquila Octave and all the electric range have moulded hollow bodies, giving a high strength to weight ratio. The vibrating body contributes to the natural sound, generated by the Bridge pick-up system and active circuitry, with no feedback.
The neck and headstock is traditionally made from a single maple block. The headstock design is taken from the 1710 Stradivari Viola da Gamba and is the distinctive trademark found on all the Bridge instruments.
Tuned to GDAE an octave below the Aquila, and usual acoustic violin tuning, the Aquila Octave offers the opportunity for the violin player to enter the world of the cellist without the many years of practice! In recording situations it enables the violinist to play all the parts of a full string section, or simply provide bass and accompanying lines in performance.
Easy to play with the benefits of low volume for practice, and high volume for performance!
Available in six house colours and custom finishes.
