Sunderbruch mountain trail opened June 19
Thanks to funding by QC Wild Places and over 600 volunteer hours by the Friends of Off Road Cycling (FORC), Sunderbruch Park is now home to a new one-mile mountain bike and hiking trail which features two unique bridges. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held June 19 with members of FORC, River Action, and City of Davenport officially opening the new trail.

Restoring and Improving Signage, Access, and Trails in 2011
In 2011, River Action raised $59,041 for the following QC Wild Places site improvements:
* Horseshoe Bend interpretive signs at Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge - $2,000
* Trail signage at Loud Thunder Forest Preserve - $3,000
* Bridge construction at Black Hawk State Historic Site - $6,000
* Trail identification system at Illiniwek Forest Preserve - $6,000
* Outdoor aquatic experience facility at the Wapsi River Environmental Education Center - $6,591
* Sand prairie and turtle nest site restoration, and viewing platform at Nahant Marsh - $8,950
* Shoreline fishing and hiking trail at Lost Grove Lake and Wildlife Management Area - $21,500
* Jubilee Trail extention at Sunderbruch Park - $5,000
