Barleycorn will be helping to distribute the new Tim Collins CD 'Dancing on Silver' in the English market. It is a truly marvellous concertina album and a must for the collection of all Irish music and concertina lovers. Please contact us for details. 

The Phoenix 30key Anglo Concertina in C/G

Continuing our rebuild strategy where we reconstitute damaged English and Duet concertinas into new anglos with vintage reeds - we present The Phoenix - made exclusively for us by Wim Wakker at the Concertina Connection in Holland.

These are high quality 30keys with metal buttons, steel reeds and 6 fold bellows based on a Wheatstone model and layout. Beautifully crafted, great playing and already immensely popular in Ireland.

Prices range from £2250 to £3000 depending on finish, (black or amboyna) and type of reeds used, Metal ends will be an option later this year.

Prices

There are no strict rules as to the cost of a concertina. Factors such as condition, rarity and finish all come into the equation when it comes to concertina prices.

There are endless varieties of concertinas and any prices on these pages are only guidelines as of July 2009. So don't be disappointed to find that you won't be able to acquire a Hayden duet, or buy a Jeffries for £200!
