Review Policy

My Review Policy:
∫Note: At this time I am not accepting any books for review by requests until late June. I will continue to accept books from publishers as needed. I need to get caught up on my TBR stacked! Thanks for your understanding.∫
I accept the following formats of books:
  • PDFs
  • .mobi
  • .prc
  • print
I will not consider reviewing books in the following genres:
  • Science Fiction
  • Non-Fiction
  • some Fantasy (contact me first, as there are limited few that I will consider)
All other genres, including indie books, may be submitted to Molly(at)reviewsbymolly(dot)com for consideration of reviewing. Please note that not all submissions will be accepted, however, when submitting please put Review Submission: Reviews By Molly in the subject line (this is so I know it’s not spam).

I try my best to give positive reviews…in the event that the book doesn’t set well with me, I will state that in my review BUT will still state that while I may not like the book, it will be good for those who enjoy that particular style.

I have a phenomenal new release from 3L Publishing that you might be interested in reviewing entitled California Girl Chronicles by Michelle Gamble-Risley.

In California Girl Chronicles, you will meet Brea Harper, who is the next Carrie Bradshaw transplanted in Los Angeles. Funny, witty, beautiful, and very sexy, Brea takes readers on a wild ride into her outrageous, romantic, and professional life. Demoralized and forced to work in what she calls “bikini hell” just to make ends meet, Brea pursues her career to become a screenwriter only to be continuously distracted by hot men. Delightfully misguided, Brea makes poor choices many women of all ages will find to be highly relatable. She is one of those unforgettable characters readers love to love.

Produced screenwriter of the Showtime movie Virtual Seduction, Michelle Gamble-Risley recently wrote the new novel California Girl Chronicles: Brea and the City of Plastic. Gamble-Risley has been a professional writer and public relations expert for 20 years. She is also the author of the award-winning book Second Bloom, Smash and Vanity Circus. She has also appeared in major media, including CNN, ABC News, Redbook, Elle, Success, More, Sacramento Magazine, Sac and Co., Good Morning Sacramento, KFBK – Kitty O’Neal, and dozens of others. She has also been published in regional and national magazines. She is currently CEO of 3L Publishing (www.3LPublishing.com), a Sacramento-based boutique publisher that specializes in assisting new and emerging authors. California Girl Chronicles is under consideration by several major producers to transform the book into a TV series. Book two in the series releases in summer 2012.

We would be honored if you could consider writing a review. If you are interested, please email me your shipping address so we can send you a copy of California Girl Chronicles right away.

    Thank you,
    Victoria Andrew

    Hi Molly,

When you open up your reviews for new authors will you post the info in a blog or should we just check back with the review policy page to make sure you are reviewing new authors?

I just don’t want to miss out, I always enjoy your reviews and would love to have one of them for my work.

    Thank you in advance
    Kelly Rae

Hi, Kelly! I will most definitely update the Review Policy page as well as make note of it in a blog post. I should be starting back with accepting a limited amount of review book requests in May or June. Yours will be at the top of my list for acceptance spacer

      Thanks!
      Molly
