ILLINOIS PGA BANDON DUNES PRO-AM
The 2009 Bandon Dunes Pro-Am finished on Wednesday, October 29, at the Bandon Dunes Resort in Oregon. Eighteen teams consisting of an Illinois PGA Professional with three amateurs played in a three-day, cumulative 2-best ball event. Amateurs used 80% of their adjusted handicap. Teams played a rotation of the Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes and Bandon Trails courses.
The team from Prestwick Country Club captured the net competition title after posting a 3-day total of 401 (137, 132, 132). Congratulations to head professional Brandon Adair, and amateurs Arvin Talwar,
Bill Matevich and
Mike Kirsch. The team from Ivanhoe Club claimed the gross competition title with a 3-day total of 426 (146, 144, 136). Congratulations to head professional Jim Sobb, and amateurs Joe Guin,
Tom Rhyan and
Mike Rolfs.
Also, congratulations to Wally Hynes of Cress Creek Country Club for carding his second career hole-in-one on the par-3 14th hole at Pacific Dunes during his round on Tuesday!

THE SENIOR PGA PROFESSIONAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
The Senior PGA Professional National Championship is underway at PGA Golf Club (Wanamaker & Dye Courses) in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The Championship features four rounds of stroke play format October 29 - November 1, 2009.
The 264-player field features PGA Professionals that are at least 50 years of age, as of the Championship, who have qualified through one of the 41 PGA Sections.
Illinois PGA Professionals Marc Adduci, South Shore G.C.; Steve Benson, Hillcrest C.C.; Randy Cochran, Briarwood C.C.; Gary Groh, Bob O'Link G.C.; Mike Harrigan, PGA Life Member; Billy Rosinia, Flagg Creek G.C.; and Terry Russell, Bryn Mawr C.C., are competing in the Senior PGA Professional National Championship.
The low 35 finishers will qualify for the 2010 Senior PGA Championship, May 24-30, at Colorado Golf Club near Denver. The top eight finishers, including ties, will receive exemptions into the 2010 Senior PGA Professional National Championship.
