about me
Welcome to the abundant life blog!
Hi! I’m Dana. Just your average, every day 20-something that started a blog. I also have a chronic illness. I’m blessed with a family that supports me, friends that are family, and a God that loves me despite my daily shortcomings.
The little things that make me Dana:
-
I have a way of saying inappropriate things without meaning to. I call this being awesomely awkward.
-
I buy and then subsequently read books on every subject.
-
I adore bad television. Oh, the pointless shows I watch. Its shameful.
-
I drink coffee on the regular.
-
I have more quirks than the average bear. Just to give you a glimpse into the weirdness that is me, I like to smell books and pen ink on paper. True story. Ask my friends.
-
Not only am I a blogger myself, I read other blogs like its my part-time job. Woman Obsessed.
-
I’m currently in graduate school, desperately trying to complete this lifelong journey called ‘getting educated’.
-
I am having a transplant surgery in April of 2011. Read about it here.

I am chronically ill but I’m still awesome. Having chronic illness doesn’t define me, its merely a part of the person I have become. I am grateful for the good days and persevere on the bad ones. Its my life and I happen to love it.
The abundant life blog started off as a personal diary for me and it has grown to be much more. This blog is about living the abundant life and finding the beauty in the good times and the bad times.
Disclaimer about this blog: Chronic illness is a part of my life and this blog. However, it is not the only thing I blog about. I blog about my funny little life, my attempt at cooking, my attempt at crafting, silly things, and of course my experiences with chronic illness. Chronic illness does not define me and therefore it does not define this blog.
I’m so happy you stopped by my little blog. Feel free to stay awhile so we can get acquainted! You can always contact me if you have questions or just want to learn more “about me”!

“I buy and then subsequently read books on every subject.” .. huh? XD We’re just so alike! I do that too, and the result: getting my parents angry because I filled our apartment with books.
P.S. You are a beautiful person. I admire your strength, and your joy to live. I wish it was bloggers like you to be spot on TV and gossip sites, not those stupid celebrities’… Blogs like yours bring hope and trust in life, in a world where it’s mostly appearance to rule. Again, you’re a wonderful person. *hugs*
Oh my, forgive my English there. ^^” It was horrible! I’m still half asleep, that’s why… xD
Hang in there Dana, do you know that you do inspire a lot of people. You are just the kind of person that I would rather be with, a stong heart, a determined mind, someone wo is so full of hope and positive thinking. You are a thriller!
