D’Supremes – Ife

Posted on May 4th, 2009 by Ovie O

D’Supremes is a duo/group comprising Ejaife “Lil Tee” Tito and Austine “Steen Prof” Aleoghena from Delta and Edo States respectively.

They previously put out a couple of singles that did fairly well on the radio. Here’s a new offering from them. I’m definitely feeling this… especially the rap verse.

    e get as e be for da rap verse o….but I like da rap……I would av sweared da song is from Stylplus…..cool song, though…..

    but speaking for myself, I wouldnt invest in da track itself cos I got over anything Stylplus since 2002 or thereabout…..but will definitely buy da album if it contains other songs wit different tunes to them…..

    @Eagleeye….autotune!! where u at?

    keep repping, da supreme…..

    LOL

    I actually enjoyed the track and wanted to leave it at that. I knew I would find myself criticizing the use of autotune all over the place, so I decided to shut up and let the guys have fun.

    It's lyrically packed, but the beat was really absent.

    I'd like to listen to them without autotune though.

    There was no need for the autotune. It's like something went wrong in the studio. Wher's d bass??

    The rapper didn't start properly sounding like he was talking crap but it was nice at the end.

    They tried overall. I wudd like to hear more from them though d'supreme sounds familiar.

    i dont know why people dont understand what autotune is used for.. to TUNE your voice.. as in a MELODY…not a RAP…omo dem dey kill me wit autotune on rapping.. maybe i need write tutorial.. and its as if sey them dey use generic settings on the hook.. the engineer did not specify the settings of autotune to his voice..didnt sound professional.. the autotune killed it for me..

    hmm, I like the beat, but something doesn’t work for me and I wonder if it is the auto tune. Like Eagle Eye, I would love to hear this song without autotune. Maybe they were doing too much vocally, let me listen again…

    The chorus is strong, the rap does distract a little but it doesn’t overly detract from the song. I wish there was actual harmony, instead of an over reliance on the auto tune. But that being said, its alright.

    Song was alright. Matt Sesso probably should have skipped the AutoTune on the rap. As an aside, Sesso’s breath control is clearly improving, which is a plus.
