Land Cover Classification Competition II

We are currently working on a new competition.
Owing to the large amount of disagreement among global land cover products, the creation of a global hybrid land cover product is seen as a major step towards improvement. In that regard, the goal of this competition is to focus on the areas of greatest disagreement among the existing products. On pixels where all three products are classified differently, we need volunteers to classify the pixels with the help of Google Earth. Futhermore, we ask the volunteers to subclassify each pixel into a maximum of three land cover classes. As most pixels contain multiple land cover types, this will provide further information.
The top 10 classifiers (subject to quality control) will be invited to join the scientific publication produced as a result of this competition. Furthermore, the top three classifiers will be awarded Amazon gift certificates.
The competition will end March 30th, 2012 at 23:59:59 ECT.
