How to live longer in familiar surroundings
Results of the EU research project REMOTE
The European funded project REMOTE is focused on developing methods for elderlys under chronically conditions living in rural and isolated areas to remain in their familiar surroundings for as long as possible with the help of tele-monitoring.
During the Final Conference on 5 and 6 July 2012 which is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm / 10:00am to 3:00pm to representatives of charitable organisations, hospitals, companies active in the field of medical technology and tele-medicine as well as other interested parties, the focus lays on the current research results of the individual partners as well as utilization of the project results after project conclusion.
Moreover, discussions, lectures and especially on 6 July 2012 a workshop including demonstrations & exhibition of developed hardware and software are planned – beside others a dehydration sensor, the belt “BioHarness” which measures vital functions, and a scale.
The Closing Ceremony of the European Project REMOTE will take place from 5 July to 6 July 2012 at the Eckstein – Haus der Evang.-Luth. Kirche in Nuremberg. This two day event shall be jointly organised by Netscouts gemeinnützige GmbH and the Nürnberger Initiative für die Kommunikationswirtschaft, NIK e.V.
