Going Independent
Though I've been an owner, Founder and President in two marketing companies and a print brokerage in the past decade, I'm now going independent, with Jared Cullop, Inc. I will start doing business on January 1, 2012, and all of my existing clients will be welcomed over to the new entity with absolutley no changes other than billing address.
I thank you all for supporting me for all these years, and give you my word that I will be working, somehow, even harder to make your businesses and practices successful.
My family and I all give you a deep, heartfelt "Thanks!".
Sincerely,
Jared
Overflowing with Experience
I've owned multiple marketing companies, the largest being grown to over 50 employees and revenues over $250M. I've also ran successful campaigns for some pretty large corporations, including the US Department of Energy. Nowadays, it seems that the "big" marketing companies are the ones who convince their clients to give them carte blanche access to a limitless budget. Who could fail in this scenario? To a "marketing guy", the typical career ladder has him graduating school knowing nothing about running a business, working for local small businesses, and then trying to climb to that "big company utopia". I disagree with this philosophy completely.
How on earth can you expect someone who hasn't risked his or her neck in the real world of entrepreneurialism to know how to help you succeed? Just being an "entrepreneur web guy" doesn't cut it either. I'll tell you the truth, good designers make great money nowadays. But do they really know what it takes to help you succeed? Can they give you valuable insight? Likely not. They know how to use the ever-changing set of tools set before them. Understand me. I don't discount the value of this, but should you trust them to drive revenue to your business? In the end, that's up to you to decide.
Every product, service or company has to find a leg to stand on that is rare and then convince their consumer base that this leg is important. My "leg", per se, is that I know how to succeed. I know how to communicate (I'm also a writer for a large automotive magazine). I know that the best marketing plan for the moment likely isn't the most expensive, but the most efficient. On top of that, I'm a patriot. At the backbone of our country is the American Small Business. I also think that current government regulations and interventions into the medical industry place an incredible amount of stress and difficulty on practice owners to succeed. These two motivations are why I formed this company: to make my living helping medical practices and small businesses succeed. Period. I hope you'll give me the chance to serve you.
