David Levin
Chief Executive Officer

David was appointed as UBM's chief executive officer in April 2005, having previously been chief executive of Symbian, a mobile phone software licensing company, since April 2002. He joined Symbian from Psion PLC, the handheld computing company, where he was chief executive from February 1999. Prior to that, he spent five years with the international business-publishing group Euromoney Institutional Investor, as chief operating officer and before that as president of Institutional Investor in New York. Previously he worked with the venture capital group Apax Partners, and with the consultancy firm Bain and Company for five years, mostly in Asia. David has an MBA from Stanford University and an MA from Oxford.

Robert Gray
Chief Financial Officer

Robert Gray joined UBM’s Board as Chief Financial Officer in September 2009 having previously been at Codere S.A. for five years where he was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. Before joining Codere, Mr Gray enjoyed a successful 24 year career in investment and commercial banking. From 1999 he was Managing Director, Latin American Investment Banking for Deutsche Bank, based in New York. Prior to his role at Deutsche Bank, Mr Gray spent almost twenty years in a variety of roles at J.P. Morgan Co. with a particular focus on building and managing banking businesses in international markets, notably Latin America. Robert is an MBA graduate of Harvard Business School.

Peter Bancroft
Director of Communications

Peter joined UBM in 2006 as Director of Communications to take responsibility for UBM's corporate communications.

Before joining UBM, Peter spent ten years in the mobile communications and technology industry with Psion PLC and Symbian Ltd, working in a range of communications and marketing communications roles. Previously he worked in academia and in public affairs consultancy. He is a graduate of the University of Bristol and holds a doctorate from the London School of Economics.

Philip Chapnick
Group Chief Representative for UBM in China

Philip was appointed Group Chief Representative for UBM in China in early 2010.

He joined the company in 1987 as Editor-in-Chief of Al Expert Magazine and has held a wide variety of editorial, publishing and management positions. As Group Chief Representative he is responsible for working with all of UBM’s businesses in China to grow UBM’s overall business presence in China.

Philip is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Andrew Crow
Group Operations Director

Andrew qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte Haskins & Sells. With Deloitte and subsequently Coopers & Lybrand he undertook a wide range of advisory and consultancy roles for major clients, focusing on the retail and leisure sectors. Andrew joined UBM in 1997 as Group Financial Controller and was appointed as Deputy Chief Financial Officer in 2001. In 2010, he was appointed as Group Operations Director. Andrew is a graduate of the University of Bristol with an honours degree in Mathematics and Statistics; he also holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.

James Davies
Head of Strategic Finance

James joined UBM in 2011 as Head of Strategic Finance to lead the provision of high quality transparent information. Since November 2011, James has also taken on the role of acting Head of Investor Relations whilst Kate Postans is on maternity leave.

James gained his ACA qualification at Deloitte in 1998 prior to starting a thirteen year career in Corporate Finance. Initially within the Technology team at the independent advisory firm Close Brothers and more recently within the M&A team at Deutsche Bank. James graduated from Warwick University with a degree in financial analysis.

Jennifer Duvalier
Group People & Culture Director

Jennifer joined UBM in September 2007 as Group People and Culture Director, with a focus on executive talent management and organisation development across UBM.

Jennifer spent the previous four years as Group HR Director with another media group, and had previously spent seven years in management consultancy with the HayGroup, working with Fortune and FTSE 100 organisations in the US, Europe and Asia on organisational change, top team development and leadership capability. During this period, she spent a year on secondment to the Cabinet Office, working on a project sponsored by the Prime Minister to encourage greater interchange between leaders in the public and private sectors.

Jennifer’s first career post university was in corporate finance and international private banking, in the UK and France. She has an MA (Hons) from Oxford.

Neil Mepham
Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Taxation

Neil was appointed Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Tax on 1 January 2009. He joined UBM in 1998 as Head of Tax having previously worked at Deloitte Haskins & Sells (which became PwC) corporate tax department where he specialised in both International Tax and Corporate Restructuring. Neil is a graduate from Warwick University with an Honours Degree in Economics. Neil qualified as an accountant in 1987.

Kate Postans
Head of Investor Relations

Kate joined UBM in December 2010 to take responsibility for UBM’s Investor Relations which had previously been managed by the Chief and Deputy Financial Officers.

Kate spent the previous three years as Head of Investor Relations for Ladbrokes plc. She managed Ladbrokes’ investor relations through a period in which the company undertook a Rights Issue and Chief Executive Officer stepped down and his successor was appointed. Previously, Kate was Investor Relations Manager at Invensys plc.

Kate’s first career after leaving university was in Corporate Finance at Deutsche Bank. She has an MA (Hons) in Economics from Edinburgh University.

Jane Risby-Rose
Chief Advisor, UBM Events Worldwide

Jane was appointed Chief Advisory Officer, Events Worldwide in June 2010, having previously been CEO of UBM Live until its integration with UBM International Media.

Jane has worked with previous iterations of UBM Live (Blenheim, Miller Freeman, CMP) for 17 years and previously worked for Haymarket and VNU. As CAO, Jane is responsible for the central focus on global event development and best practice and is Chair of GEM (Global Events Momentum).

Jane has a B.A (Hons) and Post Graduate from the University of Leeds.

Anne Siddell
Company Secretary

Anne joined UBM in June 1997 from House of Fraser plc where she was Company Secretary. A solicitor by training, Anne spent several years in private practice in the City specialising in media and intellectual property law before joining the TVS group, where she spent six years first as in-house lawyer and subsequently as Group Company Secretary and Head of Legal Services. Anne graduated from Leeds University with an honours degree in Spanish and Portuguese and qualified as a solicitor in 1979.

Rakhi Williams
Head of Strategic Planning and Development

Rakhi joined UBM in September 2010 as Head of Strategic Planning and Development for UBM to support both corporate and divisional strategic planning and initiatives.

Rakhi began her career in corporate finance, working at John Hancock in Boston and then in the global media and telecoms team at Merrill Lynch in New York. She then pursued an MBA in the U.S. at the Tuck School at Dartmouth College. After completing her MBA, Rakhi has spent the last ten years in London working in corporate strategy. Initially she worked as a strategy consultant for LEK Consulting before joining Tesco’s strategy and corporate development team. After four years with Tesco, she joined Hit Entertainment, a private-equity backed media company, as Vice President of commercial development, tasked with growing the business through new market entry strategies and acquisitions. Before joining UBM, Rakhi worked as an independent consultant, servicing retail and media clients.
