MT Notifier and MT 5 Implementation
Has anyone got MT Notifier 6.0 to work properly with an MT 5.12 installation? The author notes that their are interface issues - by this he means that you cannot see any of the subscriptions. Not useful.

If you try it inside v5.x, you may like to try using also Maarten's "Create and Manage" plugin.

Mihai;
Thanks but I do have Maarten's plugin installed.
Michael,
In that case your only hope is Chad Everett, the developer that produced the "MT Notifier" plugin.
I know that Chad made this plugin open source, after quite a good number of years when this plugin was commercial.
While he may consider making his plugin compatible with movable type v5.x over time, you may like to ask him how much he would charge to make it work for you.
I've raised a debate about the plugins not yet compatible with v5.x and Six Apart Japan is going to detail their documentation about v4.x vs. v5.x from a plugin developer perspective, so that the plugin developers would know how to quickly make their plugins compatible with v5.x.
It may take a while to get the ball rolling.

i've gotten MT-Notifier to work properly within MT5.13 and was able to edit the system template for Subscription Response to get the templates to look like my site.
i've also used the Create And Manage" plugin to modify subscribers however there's some problem with that plugin and a DIV that covers the actual admin page so you can't do or see anything on it unless you modify a stylesheet (can't remember which one at this moment) but even then you have to use firefox & turn off the main stylesheet to be able to check checkboxes and things like that. it's kind of insane.
Hilary, that sounds promising. Which website do you have it working on? Thanks.
the site's not live yet but you can see the subscribe stuff here:
jennazine.com/jz
Hilary, thanks again. But, when I looked at the source code for the pages, I didn't see which style sheet you had modified.
to change the look of the subscription process pages, the system template "Comment Response" needs to be changed (MT5.13).
there are several templates in yourMTinstalldir/plugins/Notifier/templates/global and i modified those but it took several cache dumps and days later to notice the changes.
as for the stylesheet i had to change to be able to see the admin page using the Create And Manage plugin, it was yourMTinstalldir/mt-static/css/main.css
and i commented out the bkgd color here:
.widget-header {
position:relative;
padding:5px 8px 5px 10px;
/* background-color:#f3f3f3; */
/* background:-webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#f3f3f3), to(#dcdddd)); */
/* background:-moz-linear-gradient(top, #f3f3f3 0%, #dcdddd 100%); */
border-top-right-radius:5px;
border-top-left-radius:5px;
-moz-border-radius:5px 5px 0 0;
}
but that only allows you to *see* the admin page for Manage > Subscriptions, to actually be able to check the checkboxes and manage the subscribers i have to actually use Firefox and do View menu > Page Style > No Style
i haven't been able to figure out a way around that.
there's a DIV that's problematic with
AND
that same DIV covers the left column navigation in the admin.
i just keep the Create And Manage plugin disabled until i need to modifiy a subscription. it's dumb.
