Je m'appelle Jean-Baptiste Kempf, j'ai 28 ans (je rappelle à certains que mon anniversaire est le 30 mars), je mesure 1m 82 pour 73 kg, j'ai les cheveux châtains et les yeux bleus. Comme vous pouvez le voir sur quelques photos.
Je fais partie d'une grande famille, puisque j'ai 3 soeurs, une vingtaine de cousins directs, et je ne compte pas mes cousins au deuxième degré...

My name is Jean-Baptiste Kempf, i am 28 years old (my birthday is on march, the 30^th). I am 1m 82 tall, weight 73 kg, I am châtain-haired and blue-eyed. You may see that in the photos sections.
I got 3 sisters, two dozens of direct cousin, and a very large extended family...

Je suis Centralien (Centrale Paris) depuis quelques années. J'ai obtenu un Master Recherche en Informatique au LRI portant sur les micro-processeurs et le calcul haute performance, avec une bonne mention à l'université Paris-Sud. J'ai fini un stage de recherche au CEA, et vous pourrez trouver mon mémoire sur la page des travaux.
J'ai fais un stage chez STMicroelectronics, à Grenoble, de janvier à août 2007.
Et je travaille en tant qu'attaché scientifique adjoint au consulat de France de San Francisco depuis le mois d'ocotbre.

Je suis développeur pour le projet open-source VideoLAN.

Pendant ma scolarité, j'ai passé beaucoup de temps dans les diverses associations et clubs de l'école, notamment l'association du réseau informatique VIA; mais aussi dans l'organisation du gala et dans la réforme de la scolarité.

I have finished my studies in one of the very best university in France: l'école Centrale Paris. I have the equivalent to a Master of Science.

Last year, I completed a second scholarship, doing it at the same time: a Master of Science in Research in Computer Sciences, in the LRI, a lab of the université Paris-Sud. It dealt with micro-processors and high performance computing. I had my degree with distinctions.

I worked, last summer, in a research lab of the Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique, that has the #5 biggest computer in the world. You will find my publication thesis on the work page.

I was working as an intern during the first part of year 2007 in STMicroelectronics in Grenoble.

I am now working at the French consulate in San Francisco, as a scientific and technology advisor, watching what is going on in the region in the Hi-Tech research and businesses.

I am also developer in the open-source VideoLAN project.

During my scholarship on the campus, I worked a lot for the different associations and organizations that make this campus live, especially the networking association VIA; but also the organisation of the "gala" and took responsabilities in the scholarship reforms.

Je suis passionné par l'informatique, ce qui se voit, les rollers, le Rock'n Roll et ses variantes acrobatiques, la voile, les sous-sols et les toits de Paris, la photo, les romans, le cinéma et les bandes dessinées. Partie privée.

Je suis développeur dans l'équipe de VideoLAN et vous trouverez dans la partie des projets des liens vers MyPHPAdressBook, le projet Wifi de Centrale ou Videolan. Vous trouverez aussi des informations sur ce serveur hors du commun.
