With Mother’s Day being this Sunday, we are putting an emphasis on moms for weddings.  Some sweet ways to honor mothers at the wedding, especially if the wedding falls on the Sunday that is Mother’s Day, are listed here:

1.        Include a poem about mothers in the program or have someone read at the wedding reception during toasts.

2.       Do a rose exchange duting the ceremony and after the ceremony on the way out give each of your roses to your mothers.

3.       Surprise mom with a makeover on the morning of the wedding and let her be stress free for the rest of the day.

4.       Have a classic handkerchief and a rose on each of the mother’s seats before the ceremony starts.

5.       At the reception, instead of doing a bouquet toss, dedicate your bouquet to your mother with a nice speech or give a flower from your bouquet to his mom and your mom prior to the bouquet toss.

It’s Cinco De Mayo and we have ideas for a Cinco De Mayo wedding theme.  When it comes to Cinco De Mayo, it is a festive celebration and color is very important.  This season’s hot Pantone colors are a must to incorporate into a Cinco de Mayo wedding.  Fresh colors like Cabaret, Tangerine Tango, and  Solar Power are perfect for a Cinco De Mayo wedding.  Serve up a menu full of spice and a wedding cake that includes tres leches for a flavor.  Of course, don’t forget the Margaritas! 

Bold florals with fun streamers is a great idea and we love a colorful display of Mexican drinks, such as Jarritos bottles in coordinating shades.  Mexican beer is also fun and to get fancy do a display of Patron bottles of tequila as wedding favors.
