The Negroni is a straight-forward, dependable classic cocktail – at its most basic, it contains only three ingredients in equal measure. The Negroni was developed in Florence, Italy in 1919 at the request of Count Camillo Negroni, who was a fan of the traditional Americano cocktail. He requested an Americano with “more kick” from the bartender, and the Negroni was born.
