I would like to say hello to the thousands of Grand Canyon University Alumni around the country, and welcome you to your alumni association. I am a retired Naval Aviator, and have worked in the education field for 16 years, first as a teacher and coach, then in enrollment, and now in Alumni Relations. I have also recently completed my certification to begin teaching graduate level courses in the Ken Blanchard College of Business. As a fellow Grand Canyon University alum (Executive MBA Cohort 5) and a GCU employee for the past three years, I know how important it is to feel connected to the school that gave us so much. In the weeks and months ahead, I look forward to speaking with many of you, either by phone or email, and finding out what you would like to see from the Alumni Association. Together, we can build an organization across the country that can meet the needs of fellowship, networking, continued education and fun!
Based on the results of recent surveys, I will be working with Grand Canyon University Development Representatives across the country to establish Alumni Chapters…" 'Lope Herds"… first in areas of greatest alumni concentration, then eventually in every corner of the country. I would love to have each of you join your local Herd, reconnect with old friends and make tons of new ones, and help spread the word about what an incredible school Grand Canyon University is. Please watch this site, our Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/GCUAlumni ) and follow us on Twitter
(twitter.com/gcualumni ).
Again, I look forward to talking with you soon… give me a call if I can do anything for you, or if you would just like to talk about our Alma Mater!
Yours in Christ,
Don Fraser
