A strong team of 2000 CRY volunteers reached out to over 10000 children in 58 schools across the country to ensure that every child has access to the Right to Quality Education.

Click Rights 2011 - the demand for change, submitted

The Click Rights Campaign, spearheaded by CRY volunteers, uses photography as an advocacy tool for child rights in India. The 2011 campaign invited CRY volunteers and civil society to click photographs of the unkempt infrastructure in government/ municipal schools across the country and demand quality education for every child in India. The campaign saw huge participation from students, professionals, home-makers, photographers - amateur and professional – every individual who wanted to make a difference in the lives of children.

Over 300 photographs were received, depicting the poor infrastructure, lack of or poorly maintained toilet facilities, access to safe drinking water as well as safe access to school. Over 3000 citizens in Delhi supported our demand for early action by the government department to improve the condition of the schools by signing on the petition. The photographs were exhibited at several public spaces such as Dilli Haat, DLF Saket, Jamia Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre and many colleges of Delhi. The final dossier has been submitted to the concerned authorities for necessary actions.
