    The .ECO Vision

People want to know the truth behind environmental claims.

The .ECO Profile will create that global one stop shop. Free and reliable  environmental information for all.

Run this way, .ECO could become the Internet’s global symbol for environmental integrity.

"The value that .ECO brings to the sustainability community is that finally we have one spot where we can all go and share good, accurate, verifiable information."

    Policy Consensus

Our International Council of 12 leading environmental groups spent two years coming to agreement on a constitution for .ECO. Called the ‘.ECO Consensus’, this historic document is a true coming together of the environmental community.

It took dozens of meetings, independently run by The Meridian Institute, to turn that input into a true agreement.

On September 16th, 2010 the Council reached unanimous agreement on a Dot Eco Policy Consensus. Today and long into the future this Consensus will be .ECO’s foundation.

".ECO has a broad picture of what sustainability means and what the sustainability community wants to see as a result of .ECO."

    - Martin Atkin, WWF

Our .ECO Vision

A .ECO that represents the members of the Community and their commitment to the planet.

Doing so will give millions of people, non-profits and green businesses who truly care about acting sustainably a simple way to share their commitment.

What’s more, .ECO will become a unifying space for Community members to track their environmental impact and take measurable steps towards achieving sustainability.

.ECO is built on a Consensus that leading environmental groups came together to agree on. Your organization can partner with them now to support this consensus.
