Vancouver experimental electro-noise duo MYTHS are currently on the road with Grimes + Elite Gymnastics on the appropriately titled Mythical Gymnastics tour, which hits Dallas this Friday night as part of the inaugural Index Fest. The group’s label sent over this floating/eerie, only slightly less ominous version of MYTHS’ debut-album-opening track “The Horizon,” re-worked by Grimes + Majical Cloudz, featuring Claire Boucher’s distinctive vocals on the “search and destroy” refrain/threat. The remix is due digitally on October 16 on One Big Silence records, with a vinyl release to follow.

David Hamilton x Taken By Trees

I’ve always loved David Hamilton’s work and two years ago, I came across this image again, and a seed was planted in my mind that would eventually grow into Other Worlds. It all started with this photograph. Photographer Amanda Marsalis and I recreated the image when we were in Hawaii a year ago and the album cover is an homage to the magic of Hamilton’s work.
