Today we observe the increasing scandal of high-ranking brass-hats who carried out their dalliance via non-secure freebie e-mail accounts. Now, folks, anybody that flippin'-awful careless has no business even being granted a security clearance at all, let alone getting hired for a top job at our nation's premiere spook-shop.

Towards the end of my career, e-mail began coming into existence. All people who held security clearances (including me) were duly instructed about how e-mail, especially freebie accounts, were totally open to public view. Nothing of the slightest secrecy whatsoever must ever be sent by e-mail.

So, what do these dudes do? They dally with their paramours via e-mail. If they're that careless with their own personal secrets, how the heck can we possibly trust them with our nation's secrets?

Well anyhow, yesterday a moderate amount of rain happened. I got the Safe Nights trash hauled.

Now, folks, there's a slight problem with the Safe Nights trash. There's trash bags in the designated dormitory section, the kitchen, the designated dining area, the mens room, the ladies room, the coffee bar, the outdoor area where they step out to smoke, and I forget where else.

So that's about 8 big plastic trash bags, each about 1/8-th full. An awful lotta plastic gets wasted. I've been doing what I can to condense stuff into fewer bags, but then that means reusing mucked-up smelly old bags for the next day.

So I haven't found an acceptable solution.

Oh well, I'll do what I can.
