The CODA has fewer moving parts than an internal combustion (gas or diesel) car so there are no engine related service or repair items like engine oil and filter changes, ignition systems, or exhaust pipes. In fact, even some items found on internal combustion cars, like brake pads on a CODA, have significantly less wear and much longer life due to regenerative braking that turns wasteful brake energy loss into efficient battery regeneration.
