Paypal Here (mobile) transactions are not covered by seller protection

Beware of the new paypal here mobile swipe device. no seller protection offered on any paypal here transactions as per paypal representative.
I recently sold a office furniture item to law firm and installed it the same day.
Client was satisfied with purchase even after they had requested small changes made. Upon completion, I used my new paypal now device on my Ipad to process their credit card, which went through fine. They signed the authorization form of paypal now and a receipt was emailed to them. Fast forward a month later and i receive email from paypal saying that purchase was declared by clients credit card company as not authorized. I immediately call paypal and am told client initiated a charge back saying that this purchase was not authorized. I call the client who acknowledges the charge back and claims that the charge appeared as something else on their invoice and they initiated charge back because they thought

iPad was not as described but Paypal said it was not significant

I recently filed a case via Paypal resolution centre but am very disappointed with the outcome, which was not in my favour.

I claimed that the item was not as described but Paypal believed that the difference was minor. It was for a purchase of a brand new sealed ipad and yet when I received it, there was a personal message engraved on the back of it. This does not affect the functionality of the ipad, but the engraving greatly depreciates the value of this ipad and I can no longer give this as a gift to someone nor would I be able to sell it for the same price. I spoke to a paypal operator about this via telephone and she told me that refunds were permitted if it the item was not the right colour so I find it very contradictory that a permanent engraving does not constitute as being significantly different to what was actually described, which was a brand new ipad.

Under the return policy on Ebay, it says Refunds by law:

Fraud shipping charges taken from my bank account

Paypal should without a doubt be out of business and have a major class action lawsuit. I had over $600 in fraudulent shipping charges taken directly out of my bank account because of paypal. I had to wait two weeks for these idiots to refund it after numerous phone calls to them. Lets not forget to mention that they have the most unprofessional and useless staff ever. Its a dream come true to have someone speak english come on the phone. After two weeks of this bullshit, they finally refunded my paypal account. I then closed my paypal account and two hours later i get emails that they are trying to take the money out of my bank account again? I mean is this a joke? Why are they trying to get money they took already then refunded it then try to take it out again. Paypal needs justice brought to them and the millions of people they have screwed over. If I get one more F****** email from paypal im going to contact the f***** police.

Paypal/eBay let known scammer continue using their service

I WAS RECENTLY SUSPENDED EBAY FOR NOTHING, I AM A SINGLE MOTHER OF TWO POWER SELLER OF DESIGNER HANDBAGS, SHOES AND ACCESSORIES. I GOT NO WARNING 2 DAYS AGO WHEN I GOT THE TERMINATION NOTICE AND ALL MY LISTINGS WERE PULLED DOWN. THEY CLAIM I HAVE TOO MANY COMPLAINTS OF SELLING UNAUTHENTTIC ITEMS. THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE. I HAVE SOLD OVER 1500 ITEMS WITHIN 2 YEARS HAVE ONLY 4 NEG FEEDBACK AND THE 4 COMPLAINTS IN 3 YEARS HAVE NEVER BEEN PROVEN! I AM FURIOUS AND OUT OF INCOME AS MY EBAY STORE WAS MY SOLE MONEY SOURCE!

NOW MY PAYPAL ISSUE WITH A $2100 CHARGEBACK WITH A BUYER FROM CANADA WHO PUCHASED A DIAMOND TENNIS BRACELET IN DEC. LEFT POSITIVE FB ON EBAY THEN 3 MONTHS LATER FILED A CLAIM WITH HIS CREDIT CARD CO. I CALLED EBAY AND PAYPAL OVER 25 TIMES OVER THIS ISSUE. THE BUYER ADMITED THROUGH EBAY EMAILS THAT HE DIDN’T KNOW THE WHY THE COMPANY WAS FILING A CHARGEBACK AGAINST ME AND HE DID RECEIVE THE BRACELET! I HAD COPIES

Reversed transfer of funds

I sold an inexpensive item—$5. I only take Paypal. A couple days later I received noticed that the item was paid. I sent it out and then did a transfer of $50 to my bank account to use as part of Nov rent. Several days LATER I got a notice that they were freezing my account and reversing the transfer (which was short just a few dollars because of the frozen account.) At first they said there was a problem with the seller’s backup credit card. Then they said there was a shipping problem with the item IN SPITE of the fact that I used THEIR shipping and the buyer had left positive feedback about how fast the item arrived! Turns out it was a problem with the buyer clicking on the wrong card and instead of Paypal trying the OTHER card, they just froze everything. Now my rent will be late. i will have fees to pay, and I only made about $4 on the item to begin with. (Finally got sorted out but they had the nerve to send me an email

China Scam

Just finished paying off Paypal to stop their harassing phone calls and emails. I sold an item to a “buyer” in China. Never did that before and never will again. Even with a tracking number I discover that there is no tracking once it leaves the U.S. The buyer claims he did not receive the item. There is no proof that he didn’t but my tracking number was useless in China. Paypal says their policy is to refund the buyer if there is no proof of delivery! The China buyer knows all this and I ended up another scam victim. Even after forwarding photos of the shipping envelope, tracking number and email conversations with the buyer, Paypal sides with the guy from China and allows the scam to succeed. I am outraged and paid them off to stop the harassment. Never will do business with PayPal again. This is after they received thousand of dollars in the past years from fees they collected from my sales. Unbelievable!
